Last month I met up with Sara Lowes, the creator of the brand Animalesque, famous for the most exquisite animal headdresses.
Sara’s latest collection was commissioned by the Royal Opera House. She uses archival materials from past productions at ROH to craft unique one-off pieces that mean everybody can wear a piece of historical opera.
Sara trained in costume design for theatre, and has been making headdresses under the guise of Animalesque since 2012.
